We may be a family band that plays Irish music, but we are definately not that family band that sings sweet songs in harmony while everyone sways back and forth with giant smiles on their faces! Just to make it clear, we are NOT the Partridge Family kind of family. We would hate to use the word dysfunctional here, so we will use words like “unique” and “interesting”! Dad drinks whiskey while riffing out on the guitar, Mom plays drums in stilettos heels and the boys are of recent drinking age and make it a priority to start a party wherever they go. Regardless of typical family fights and disagreements (and hair pulling and pillow throwing), music will always keep us together wherever we happen to end up.

O’Phelans Boy’s aren’t really in the entertainment business. We are actually in the beer selling business!

With no disrespect to traditional Irish music, we prefer our jigs a little more upbeat…with lots of kick drum! You may hear a mandolin or penny whistle here or there, but rest assured we are not your average traditional Irish band. One thing we can guarantee you is that we will make you want to dance….and drink….and sing….and drink! You may even want to speak with an Irish drawl for remainder of the evening!

Although we may be the band hired to keep you entertained and on the dance floor all night, we don’t really think of our selves as the entertainment. O’Phelans Boy’s aren’t really in the entertainment business. We are actually in the beer selling business! If we are playing your establishment, you may want to tap a couple extra kegs in advance! Nothing can make you want to get your drink on more than some Irish music with a driving beat!
